Important Tips

  • This preview proportion is just a rough representation of the workspace. You can still resize the panels in FCP (Remember to Update Workspace in FCP after adjustment).
  • After Export, if Mac says it can't open the file OR directs you to the Appstore. It's likely because your browser has enabled 'Auto-open files after download' setting. Please simply ignore it and copy the file to your FCP workspace folder.
  • This remapper works by modifying reverse-engineered .fcpworkspace files. Occasionally, activating a custom workspace may cause unexpected Final Cut Pro UI glitches. It is always a good practice to reset to Default (⌘0) first, before activating the custom layout.

Known Issues

  • If audio meter stopped working after workspace activation, disable/enable audio meter (Hit ⌘+Shift+8 twice) will fix it.
  • If you added Browser 2 & 3, timeline related hotkeys like Q/W/E won't work correctly in Browser 2 & 3. You would have to use mouse to drag footage/title into the timeline.
